Cottage Profile
A picture perfect 3 bedroom wood cottage with an open concept kitchen/dining/living
area, single bathroom with shower and bathtub, and enormous sun-deck adjoining most
rooms. The master bedroom features a fun, king size round bed and over-size chair for
in-room TV viewing. The kids bedroom has two sets of bunk-beds with slider door
access to the outside deck. Accessed off the dining area, the small third bedroom has
a double bed. All rooms have ceiling fans and screened windows. The family and living
rooms are effectively one large room running half the length of the cottage. A satellite
TV with VCR is tucked into the corner with a couch and wicker chairs for group
viewing. There are two couches in the living area running along the wall of 5 foot high
windows with uninterrupted 180 degree views of the lake. An island kitchen with
modern fridge, stove and microwave oven making cooking and serving easy. A BBQ is
available on the back deck, along with a second fridge in the adjoining shed. The dining
area is adjacent to both the kitchen and living room making for one large, inclusive area
for all guests.
Outside, the wooden front sun-deck has a 6-8 person patio table with oversize canvas
umbrella and numerous lounge chairs. Built-in wooden bench seating spans the length
of the deck. Step down to the beach, where you can lounge in Muskoka chairs under
the sun shade, swing in the hammock between two pine trees or play a game of
horseshoes. The view spans East-South, overlooking an open stretch of Kahshe Lake
and a small cluster of islands.
The beach receives sun all day and gently slopes into the water. A sandy bottom gives
way to shallow rocks enabling you to wade 10-15 feet into the water before dropping
below your waist. You can also shallow dive off the dock or adjacent rocks where the
water is about 6 feet deep. This is a perfect beach for young kids.
Water is pumped up directly from the lake and is connected through a filter a large hot
water tank. We strongly encourage guests to bring their own drinking water.

Sheltered bays. Calm, warm waters. Narrow inlets. A big Muskoka lake with 'small lake' charm. Want to know more about Kahshe Lake? Click here.
